Residency Dirk Huyghe

I live a stone's throw from the castle. It always intrigued me by its beautiful complex of buildings that could only be admired from behind the bars of the closed gate. The fact that I can now reside there is a gift. As an Elewijt villager, I look up to my world-famous neighbor, Rubens, who lived at the castle. I enjoy the hospitality at his court of plaisance. It is my pleasure to welcome other visitors and introduce them to one of the oldest printing techniques. As a graphic artist, I like to explain relief printing through linocuts, letterforms and stamps.
