In "What if Rubens were alive today?", we take the audience on a unique journey through time. The show takes place at various locations around "Het Steen", with spectators accompanied by an enthusiastic guide.

The story revolves around Rubens, the famous Flemish painter of the 17th century. But imagine: what if Rubens were alive today? How would he deal with the challenges and opportunities of our times?

In this short play, we discover a fictional story in which Rubens has become a modern artist. He is confronted with the hustle and bustle of contemporary life, but does not allow himself to be thrown off guard. They are also introduced to other characters in the story, his collaborators, his models, how do they deal with the painter in this 21st century?

The performance "What if Rubens were alive today" is an inspiring and interactive experience that challenges the audience to think about their own opportunities, assertiveness and positive mindset.
